Date: 21 June 1970 Winner: Jochen Rindt RIP: Piers Courage
Enjoy. From the DVD 'Grand Prix: the Golden Years' which I had uploaded in its entirety but had to take down because of copyright so I had to break it up.
The cars, the course conditions, the equipment in general; so "primitive" by comparison with the superbly engineered, almost excessively designed machines today's racers ply their craft with. The elegance of these early races...the sheer raw courage it took to climb in, strap one on, and blast round the course. An accident could be...would be...almost surely fatal or rife with severe injury. Breathtaking film.
