Yeah this is a noticeable bug for the Mac since I believe TF2 was first released for Mac. Still doesn't work =\

there could be a few problems with it i would try making sure all programmes such as msn, skype. etc are closed before you try using your mic in game because they can sometimes stop it from working on steam games... other than that im not too sure seems as tho ive never used a mac sorry.... and the text i put in was voice_forcemicrecord 0
