  • Lookout place is where this film is taken and I live around the corner right next to the creek. The silver mitsubishi mirage near us went right under which is pretty much situated right across from the storm water drains.

  • @brandonbennett1992 We saw the mirage after the water went down and all things considered it looked rather unsuspecting. A few meters over and I think it would have been washed down the street.

  • 'That's someone's house'...is OURS!

  • @StarshineMusicStudio Please send me a msg if you would like a copy of this footage for your records. I hope the damage hasent been to bad and that you guys are well.

  • @Toukisarchu Thank-you for your concerns. Water came right up to the doors, but not into any of our homes, thankfully! Receded fairly quickly (even quicker than it arrived). Whereabouts in the street do you live? Are you closer to the top of the street? It was the homes around the corner where the cars were covered with water, that had water in their homes to some degree, along with homes in Moorhen. Could you please email a copy to starshinemusicstudio@gmail.com. That would be great, thanks. :)

  • @StarshineMusicStudio Yes I'm near the end of the street so I managed to stay dry but we still put everything on the bed just in case haha. Ill try and email it to you this weekend when I get a free moment. After all the kaos I have a fair bit of work to catch up on.

  • @Pippa1972 As far as I know it was not affected, however I have not been down that specific street to check.

  • Now everybody knows what we have been saying for years - Dont build on the low areas - its not a matter if IF but WHEN Queenslands wet seasons will return. Developers should be ashamed of themselves for ignoring the advise of long term Queenslanders and skimping on the cost of doing proper drainage works. Go into Google Maps and have a look at some of the drains they build in Say Bowen

  • Brilliant coverage. We live just a bit further around Lookout than you werre able to get to. Fortunately the water stopped about 20mm from entering our house. Any chance of a copy of this for our archieves??

  • The front of it had moved from the curb onto the street about half a metre but not much.
