The intellivision had a 16-bit CPU , but the graphics were 4-bit , giving it a 16 color palette. also it was a quite slow 16-biter since the CPU operated around 894.8KHz while the Atari's 8-bit CPU ran at about 1.19MHz
I still have my Intellvision, and I still play it from time to time. It was awesome gaming back in the early 80s when I was a kid. Colecovision was by far my fave and I also still have it and play it from time to time.
I have the PS2 Intellvision game, they should redo all those games for the new consoles.
