I can't think of Intellivision without thinking of Plimpton. Seeing the commercials back then, he made the console seem even more sophisticated and intelligent. Best spokesman Mattel could have found.

My aunt and uncle never had kids... but, they bought an Intellivision game system for their cottage up north... each season, we would go to the cottage.... each season, I got to play the Intellivision system... that was 1983... I love my aunt and uncle... I wish they had kids of their own.... they would have been great parents.

I could deal with the Intel Controllers. The real problem was that you couldn't buy replacements (that I know of). Basketball, Football and Baseball were real serious with me and my friends. It was great how you could "lead" receivers of passes on football and basketball. The computer man would intuitively go to the ball. Sicc
