This certainly has a major benefit to it. Unfortunately, the benefits won't be accessible for another disc and a half.
Once you get to the Northern Crater, you'll encounter Magic Pots. Killing them is worth a lot of EXP and AP, but you need to use an elixer to do it. Elixers can be stolen from Master Toneberries and Gighees, but you'll find that you'll be running from a lot of Magic Pots this way. This little trick should prove immensely beneficial in that situation.

This reminds me of some of the glitches I found back in the day for FF6 on the SNES.
It's been so long since I played that on an actual cartridge, so I don't remember exactly how to do it, but it involved a Genji Glove and the "Optimize" command, and you could clone the Illumina as much as you wanted without a game genie.
You can also clone items in FF6 using Relm to sketch Gau when he shows up on the Veldt. If you're lucky, your inventory will get filled with lots of goodies.

@kingdom1234513 You realize that you can download emulators onto your computer and play the actual PS1 disk through the computer right? Then you can use a program like hypercam or something similar to capture video...
