HD: November Railfanning in the Lehigh Valley Pt. 1-The NS Lehigh Line

November 5, 2011-Phillipsburg, NJ:
Before and during the Belvidere and Delaware River Railroad's #4039 fundraiser, we'll stop along the NS Lehigh Line for some mainline freight action. Boberttrain831 and koasterkidd also tagged along for the trip. First up is NS Westbound autorack train 11J.
NS 11J:

Then, about an hour later, NS Eastbound Intermodal and Autorack train 212 rolls through with a crew that didn't even wave to the kids down at the Bel-Del ticket booth nor us railfans. Oh well.

Then, shortly before the Bel Del excursion reversed into Lehigh Junction, NS Westbound intermodal train 21Q rolls through Phillipsburg with a trio of C40-9W's...yawn...and I will not provide engine #'s for this train due to the boring power. Then, NS Eastbound Intermodal train 24Z rolls through Phillipsburg with a very friendly crew, giving a horn show and the conductor actually hung out the window lol.

the final train of the day was when we got on the third Bel Del excursion of the day. We waited at the ticket booth for a little bit, and heard "18N clear Easton" but saw nor heard anything until we got down to board the train. NS Eastbound Autorack train 18N rolls over the Delaware River trestle with the only decent power of the day, and of course it would've been an epic "over-under" shot if I didn't have to board the train lol. Oh well, steam always rules over diesel in my book.
