Why does the Anglican Church have such beautiful music, while we Catholics get stuck with "On Eagle's Wings" in Mass?

If you still get enjoyment out of the song, why even mention that you're an atheist? Seriously, nobody cares.

Wow, that is one full church. So much for all the churches in England being empty!

Catholics sing this, too. Just depends on who's in charge of music.

The Anglican Church has a tradition of singing in English that goes back centuries. The Roman Catholic Church in the US has only been singing in English for a few decades. When the RC Church switched from Latin to English in the 1960s, the music it selected was the folky-type music so popular in the 1960s, believing that was more what the people wanted and could relate to. All I can say is that I've heard RC singing, and take heart! In a few centuries, the RCs may have beautiful music, too
