  • No - mention of Nasty weather(climate) destroying food crops??

    WTF??? MSNBC : )

still a good vid, I will add to my favorites

  • @mikethebodacious

    LOL.

    Well put.

  • @iamavet Mainstream media has always been propaganda. They do not discuss many underlying factors because they don't think the average viewer can comprehend it. Mainstream media believes average viewers are stupid and can not critically think for themselves so they always push their own simple agenda. They have NEVER discussed the alternative methods to produce ethanol such as hemp. They are owned by big agro and pharma, they can't point the fingers at their sponsors. Good points though :D

  • @joepeeler34

I didn't miss the point. Printing money raises the cost of ALL products not just food.

But as with many of MSNBC discussions, they pick out one item that is politically hot (world food costs) and only talk about the banks as the cause. My point was to show the decrease of available grains, because of biofuels, has a major impact. Supply and demand.

MSNBC needs to point out and rate other factors in the costs of food, otherwise it is leaning toward propaganda.

  • @iamavet You missed the whole point of the video. It's money printing. Ethanol subsidies do drive up the cost of corn, but the reason that prices are going up is much more due to monetary inflation.

  • I love Dylan Rattigan. He is own to the fiat money debt system. The dollar as reserve currency is doomed. We are exporting our inflation.

  • MSNBC is once again trying to protect current biofuel policies. Biofuels from Corn, wheat and rice equals higher food prices.

"Back in 2008, leading environmentalists lamented the devastating impact of ethanol subsidies on the global environment and the world’s poor. " They noted that thanks to ethanol, “deadly food riots” had already started.

"And they pointed out that “food-to-fuel mandates are leading to increased environmental damage." Washington Examiner.
