My mother is really religious and I'm not. So needless to say we butt heads. I want to make peace with her, but I don't know how. Any advice would be great.

  • Oh fuck off, your god is about as real as Pamela Anderson's breasts.

  • Convert to Åsatru (norse mythology/religion) Show up at her home drunk and wearing nothing but a thorshammwer pendant and say you found god, and his name is odin, and his son is named thor and thor has a big hammer!

  • dad sends the funny or sometimes sick cards lol...good luck man..

  • i hear ya..my mom made me go to church till i was 13 i put a stop to that! i told her i believe there is a higher power but i dont believe in the hipicrites in the church..they are the worst ones lol..the boys of st vincents tell her to watch that movie..! you have to find your own way to be one with the earth.for me again i told mom when im out in nature i feel closer to god then in a man made building..and good luck on the religious cards..mine still sends me the sappy card everytime..lol

  • matter of factly, she may respect the confidence and certainty you demonstrate... mom, i'm not interested in your faith... i'm enjoying my life and living it appropriately to my standards... i don't appreciate your "good" intentions and constant harassment of a particular perspective... let's just be mom and son, nothing else.

  • @Hungryturtlez LOL hah ha

  • @saundersDave11 no, his mother's name is My

  • My WHAT thinks I'm going to hell?? Incomplete title of the video, mate!!

  • Go to hell, don't care. Send us a postcard.

  • i suggest, a falcon kick?

  • I remember from the old Kung Fu TV series, the old abbot saying, "Kindness, always kindness."

If your mom someday really forces the issue, I'd say don't disrespect yourself by saying you believe things you don't, and remember people have their limitations: hers may be her religion, and if it pushes her away from you there's nothing you can do about that but accept it as something you can't change.

Just be kind, and the memory of that will be the light she can hold in her heart, over time.
