That little trick - working only with single handles by alt-clicking previous point made all the difference.. Weird it's not default..

If you want to go and edit a point in the middle of the path, how do you do that? Tried but without success, it just does new ones.

Moving an anchor point is very easy, you just have no clue how Photoshop works just like the guy in this video....sigh

It's strikingly strange to me, that for 13 versions of this program, Adobe couldn't make this tool more intuitive in use. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check how Bezier's Curves tool in CorelDraw works. I mean, is that so tough, to make the anchor point MOVEABLE after it's placed?!

Thanks very much for your clear and easily understood explanation of a notoriously misunderstood tool. I especially appreciate your use of the alt key in shaping a curve; I'd seen that done in an OOB video but the guy didn't go into detail on the technique since it wasn't the main point of his particular subject (making an "out of bounds" picture. You've filled in the gaps and I thank you for that.
