John Coleman co-founded The Weather Channel, but he's still a loony. Always called the suburbs (depending on the distance from the city) the boonies, superboonies and supermegaboonies.

Warner Saunders later was the station's primary anchor along with Allison Rosati.

It was years later that Ron Magers and Mark Giangreco now working at WLS-TV ABC 7 in Chicago together.

Did you know that Ron Magers has a younger brother named Paul Magers? Paul Magers is the anchor and reporter at KCBS-TV (CBS 2) in Los Angeles.

I forgot about those strange stories that Ron used to tell towards the end of the news. I vaugely remember Carol Marin wearing glasses. I was 10 at the time of this broadcasting. She resigned from NBC because NBC wanted to give Jerry Springer (yes the same Jerry Springer) a commentary segment. Shortly after her resignation, Ron Magers also resigned for the same reason. I'm originally from Waukegan, and I remember the Alton Coleman story very well.
