I can't seem to get away from this protest movement, whether I want to or not. On my way home from work, I stumbled across another Occupy Melbourne protest in the Coles supermarket around the corner from my apartment block.
This time the protest was in solidarity with the striking workers at the Baiada Poultry factory in Laverton. You can find relevant news coverage here: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/occupy-melbourne-disrupts-city-sho...
Excellent Occupy Melbourne. I will bring this rally/march idea up with our next Occupy Brisbane march. Fantastic idea, take Occupy marches off the streets and into businesses.

People are at the mercy of the tyrannical reign of big banks, bloated interest rates, the RBA bias and Property Developers. Private property is treated as a giant credit card with housing becoming a game of shuffle board. Major retailers function as whores for Chinese manufactured products. Politicians give themselves six figure salaries while the people are slaves to the minimum wage. The system is breaking down. In an age of information and social media, free speech has an extra dimension.

@soulmamma67 It would be good to see massive boycotts of unfare workplaces. The huge toll it would take on government welfare would force the government to get involved and clean up things. But unfortunately it's not going to happen. Most people aren't apart of unions.

employers are walking all over workers. Minimum wages? Safety? Not in the workplaces I have worked at. Health inspectors and Worksafe inspectors ringing and warning of when they are coming so things are cleaned up before they come. Kickbacks I bet.... and not in MY best interests. Yup, I know what you say.... don't work for them then! I don't!!!! Thank God for Centrelink.....
