frankly for the person that said Brian May said it's an attempt to do funk right, he wasn't being a jerk about it it's that he HATED Hot Space and he took a bullet for the team. He just wanted to do more with the guitar and if you notice there isn't much guitar in the studio version of this song. He just absolutely hated the album and wanted to please I don't know Freddie or John

Queen live at the Brendon Burn Colesium in Rutherford, New Jersey: USA 9/8/1982 awsome! :)

@shire2005 yes but also remember Freddie heard alot of music like this gay clubs. He wanted to make that kinda music.

Pretty Strange this version...
I don't know it's because I listened only the album version, but I think it was slight strange...

This was arrogance plain and simple and an attempt to sell more records because of the success of "another one bites the dust". Brian said they wanted "to do funk right". well that is disrespectful to every musician who played funk and honestly is borderline racist.
I don't hate the album just not queen.

This live rendition sounds more "Queen-esque" than even the official recording! The "Look at meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" harmony between Freddie and Roger sounds almost like a steam engine! Phwoar! :D

@queenandi The band didn't play "Body Language" live much in Europe because the song only received a lukewarm response from the audience. The song received better reviews in North America, however, and played on the radio more. The song was played much more frequently on the U.S leg, where the song achieved more commercial success.

I have that concert on bootleg audio. It's great!

I seen Queen less than a week after this show at the now gone Poplar Creek Music Theatre near Chicago. They were no less than spectacular. Even the professional videos of this tour do not capture the size and the movements of the stage lighting. This stage show was far ahead of its time in 1982 and the music was just as incredible. I'd love to relive the live experience of this show.

1982? i bought this album as soon as it came out..First ever album i bought was Queens greatest hits! Awesome awesome performance as usual from freddie!

great version!
looking back now i can respect the directions queen explored but being an avid fan back than with all the metal heads they crucified queen because they werent consistant with all the volume switches at 10 and they didnt wear spikes and all ive remained loyal and now they have cemented their crown in many as best band of all time
