Taz on Pet Star - Coin Trick

Taz finds a state quarter hidden among hundreds of coins. Watch the comments from the silly celebrity judges! For anyone that wonders, yes, the trick is based on scent...but can YOU figure out how he does it?! (I left the answer down in the comments section).

i kinda expected taz's owner to make him find the coin wiht the blind fold on

but this is still pretty cool, after all, i didnt know that dogs could read.,and the print on coins is very small!! :)

@PrincessKonohana - Well, it'd be hard to joke about him reading the coins if he did it with the blindfold on! But actually another trainer made that very suggestion to me, and that was what gave me the idea to actually train a routine of tricks with Taz blindfolded, and we returned next year to do that, you'll find those videos on my page here at YouTube as well!

Just so happens, ones of those Japenese shows came out and spent a whole day filming us doing this and many other tricks. They must not have thought it all that "moronic".

Even if the dog was just using Mario's scent, it's pretty impressive that he KNEW to go for Mario's scent. It's not like he could have just looked for any new scent, considering the stage (especially the carpet, since so many animals were on it before him) probably had at least hundreds of different scents on it.

@KKSist3ers - Ah...Taz died very suddenly ( a couple hours from when I noticed anything was wrong to when he was gone). We don't know for sure, but believe he bled out from hemangiosacoma, a common and deadly cancer in dogs.
