@markbird1965 sorry my brother wrote that not realy knowing what he was on about :) basicly what my little bro was trying to say i think was that he could play chords well but no finger picking i guess i have studied forbys work and altough they may only be made up of simple chord structures and stumming solos they are still well played, and prety much every pop song ever is simple chord patterns so god knows what he was wittering on about :) what films did i make ??

hey mate, i dont mean to burst your bubble but err george formby could not actualy play the uke sure he could play a few chords but it was all a publicity stunt! xx

Publicity stunt or not, I found him wildly entertaining and inspirational. He helped inspire me to become a better ukulele player. Me and so many others. Don't matter to me if it was all lip syncing too. Even as a false ukulele prophet, as you say, I like the songs and the movies and that makes me practice more and smile more. You didn't burst my bubble, no fear. Everyone is allowed an opinion. My opinion is different, it works for me, and I hope yours works for you. In any case, keep uke'in!
