Music from Carl Sagan's excellent TV series "Cosmos".
Video includes HD images and computer realisations of planets, black holes, super-novas and galaxies - then takes us back to our miraculous home.

  • excelente video con unas imagenes espeluznantes y una musica excepcional.Una verdadera maravilla-

  • ..VERY NICE..

  • Wonderful and inspirating, just the way as Vangelis has allways did,to make our Human Musik Diskreibtion much reacher and more beautiful.it remembers me at the Great,(Carl Sagan),and his TV Series,(in 13 Dokumentations, our Cosmos),and his Book with the same Titet,i think that no Human Bings untill today, has ever and ever reachd the World,Universe,Dimentions and finally the Cosmos itself, and understood it like Carl Sagan,to Underestand him and his Cosmos you have to read his Book at list 10 times.

  • Universe 1 God 0. Tell that result to Carl Sagan, Brian Cox and many others, and they will smile. Love to be able to write comments like this so the world can read. Wish Dr Cox and the BBC would team up and re-make the brilliant "Cosmos" series. Cheers. Malcolm.

  • Where is Captain Kirk in all that?

  • @abbreviateTome Many people have asked this question (especially scientists). You'd best ask an astronomer or watch a good documentary about the subject, like "Cosmos" by Carl Sagan. It's worth it, regardless of your beliefs.

  • dont know about all of u out there ,but for me beliving in a god is much easier than beliving in evolution after watching this. serioucly all this just from a big bang, what made the big bang in the 1st place then ??

  • Very good video. Puts things in perspective.

What is the name of the opening piece before the 2nd tune Alpha? I have most, if not all,of Vangelis' music but not that one. Or is it someone else?

    Thanks.

FYI, you have the artist on the "Show More" thing above as Vangelis, Jon Anderson and referring to the album Heaven and Hell. Your video's 3rd piece is from that album (being the theme of Cosmos). However, the other two pieces are not on that album. Alpha is from Albedo.

  • Nice work...
