To get the Obsidian Sword, you have to get near the end of the game at Event Rank: 22. To get the Emerald, you have to get it during Event Ranks: 9~18. So you have to get it quick.

Where do I get the fatestone of Chaos and why can't I get the Emerald Fatestone? I got to that ghoul-looking guy, but he disappeared!!! That *&%$#@!!@#%@^&@@!!!!!!! Ahem, how do I get it?

He is Equipped with the Obsidian Sword (Fatestone). Yes The Fatestone of Chaos is a Sword! It can shift shape depending on what attack mode you are in.
