  • I'm done having this argument just know that anybody driving a camaro has more class then the asshole driving a sti. Next time I see a gay Subaru I'm just gonna laugh because they got nothing on classic American muscle

  • @BornGNRfan Quit getting your panties in a knot buddy. It's the internet. :P My other car is a modded 1994 Subaru Legacy Turbo and it would probably take my Camaro off the line simply because 18psi and AWD means lightning fast launch, with no wheelspin, every time. Even though it's only probably running around 260-270 flywheel HP.

  • @Alph1us I doubt an sti would take a camaro off the line- Check the torque. My friend drag raced an awd subaru and it was a terrible race car off the line. AWD means you cant launch it hard or at high rpms or you will break the drive train. By time the sti builds up boost and applies it to all 4 wheels, that camaro will be gone. i mean they would both be somewhat stock, with enough money anything is possible.

  • @1faschicken An STi can drop the clutch at 5-6k and take off. No drivetrain breakage there. ;) The stock 6-speed in them is very strong.

  • I thought they never had a 350 with a manual?

  • @schmbrt96 You are correct. Mine was a 305 H.O. many years ago with a factory 5 speed.

  • @Alph1us I am not trying to argue over youtube, you believe what you wanna believe about the STi drivetrain and what it can do its your right. If you own a STi well just keep doing a 6k linedrop and you will find out a year later what to expect, that is all I am saying.

  • @Alph1us No they're not strong dude... check the reviews. You can launch them at 6k but if you do it a lot expect to replace the subi drivetrain. Its actually nasty doing that to the AWD STi and I would not recommend it. I wouldn't recommend doing that in any stock car, but the STi's drivetrain takes a serious beating dropping it at 5-6grand off the line.

but you're right the "newer" STi would stomp the crap out of a Iroc style Z28. Now the LS1's are another story.

  • At the end of the day its not always important who has the faster car. Trust me this guy turns way more heads and gets way more ass with a slower, better sounding old school v8 then any guy who's pushing a car with 4 less cylinders. Maybe I'm biased because I own a 3rd gen Camaro but I've seen plenty of evo's and sti's faster then my car but when I roll by the looks are priceless, its about respect, people respect these older v8's

  • @TheLBCSublime I coudlnot agree more.amen to that.I own a 1983 Trans am and I consider myself a muscle car enthusiast, but a car that does what is supposed to do and does it well it doesnot matter who makes it european , korean or japanese who cares we all got different tastes and that is not a reason to hate,It is a chunck of metal plastic and rubber and people argue and insult each other because of that be civilized be truly american.

  • what year cmaro is that? is that a cross fire injection camaro?

  • I miss the 80s camaros! third gen was the best! This is just my opinion. Miss the 80s!

  • @BornGNRfan I agree with you. Go Chevy!

  • The lg4 had between 145-170 hp from 1982-1987 the l69 had 190 hp
