@smack9923 "Um what if Hellmuth had a set which was possible" everyhand is possible... baxter can have KJ (lol). so comment like that is irrelevant... the mistake phil made is he took baxter lightly and talk like he is playing a bad player (i imagine he wont say a word if he's against phil ivey) which actually gave away more than he gain... the fact that he said "it's going to be less" and bet 44k anywayz actually give up more information..
Um what if Hellmuth had a set which was possible by the way he was talking about baxter having j10 and him charging the max.The 44 k bet would of been perfect if he had a set so that's probably what he was thinking for getting mike baxter to fold.Baxter would of called 25 k anyways 44 k was better imo.
I dont know how baxter even made the call when hellmuth called his hand on the turn.
@Juntahh You're the fish. Phil's 40k bet made it way obvious. It's a polarized bet amount. It reads bluff or nuts and Helmuth obviously didn't have the nuts since he was repping AA from the start. That bet wasn't meant to get value because only 2 pair hands would call. It was meant to blow him off and Baxter read it for what it was and called him with a Bluffcatcher. Learn how to play before you bash Baxter, noob. 25k like Matusow and Laak were saying would of been MUCH harder to call
@Augz1776
Unless of course Phil was range merging with A 10 ( just kidding, nice analysis).
