Dude, this is awsome. I've been doing it for years. The main source of my tabs: beer pong. Great vid 5/5 stars.

I hate that. Everytime I go out can collecting, there's at least one house that does this. I don't know if they obsess over can tabs like I do, or donate to charity, but either way it's a huge frustration. I get 1,500-2,000 in a night, and crush the cans, scrap them once I have a ton, and save the tabs. I collect too many things, and most recently OCD has driven me to soda can tabs. But it's only like 2% that does this.

It takes five seconds to pull off a pop tab. 1247 tabs make a pound, and that pound of high quality recyclable aluminum (better than the alloy in the can itself) nets 40 cents. That's 4.33 hours for a dollar, or 23 cents an hour for your labor to recycle pop tabs. And that doesn't count the time and GASOLINE to take the pop tabs to the local Ronald McDonald House.
This is dumber than dirt. Ronald needs a PayPal donation button. Leave your tabs on the cans you're recycling.
