firefight in the chora valley afghanistan B co 2/4 INF. This video is of the first day of a ten day firefight in the chora valley in July 06. This was the lightest fighting in the ten days. Most of the fighting was very close under 100 meters. SSG Robert Chiomento was killed in a near ambush. Many Americans were wounded. At times the soldiers were out-numbered 20 to 1.

SSG Robert Chiomento, who died during this fighting, on July 17th, 2006, was my son--we loved him soooooo much--he is now resting at Arlington, Nat'l Cemetery.

I am SSG Robert Chiomento's mother--he is the one who was killed during this long, 10 day firefight--it chills me to try and watch this video, but I am still grateful for whoever took this footage, then posted it here on youtube. I keep trying to discern Bobby's voice as they are all speaking, but so far I've not been able to. Thank you, again.
