I am ashamed and emberassed by a couple of these comments. Sad to know that I live in the same country with such ignorant human beings. So many Americans go through their day with blinders on completely oblivious to what is happening in the world. I don't think their taking volunteers on the ground in Sudan because its too dangerous. At one point all the NGOs pulled out of Darfur after coming under fire from the Janjaweed.

Um Cheif, Darfur is in Africa. Its not in the middle east. These are innocent people who are dying because of their fucked up government. Umm...snowwolfsabertooth could always start a weapons funneling operation to the two main anti-Janjaweed Rebel organizations in an attempt to neutralize the situation.

Officially sanctioned US intervention would probably be best, but that is just a backup idea that can be done at a non-governmental level. Just brush up on your realpolitik and learn who wants what and how to pay off the right people, and the Rebels might just get their guns.
