@ginsboy2003 I would appreciate it and think it would help others too. Cant find good videos on youtube that give closeups of how to assemble it all and deal with the springs etc. I know there are some tricks to it. Thanks!

I'll have to make a video showing all my shop tools, my first press was homemade like yours using a 6 ton bottle jack. I still have it, but would like to get rid of it because of the space it takes up. At least your still getting the job done with homemade tools so hats off to ya!!

You are absolutely right and it does drive me nuts! My problem is a lack of space and thinking I need to save everything because I might need it for a future project haha.

another awesome build series thank you. I do have a question when I looked at polish underfolder parts kits they dont have the barrel with the gas block and all the other crap on it how do you install that stuff?

What you need is a kit sold by ak-builder, check out his site. The kits are a little price now, but worth the money if its what you want.

At least you got a nice press mine is made of unistrut and a hydraulic jack i also use two pieces of cut unistrut with two bolts to hold the front trunion while I push the barrel out

At least your getting the job done with homemade tools! That says a lot for your ingenuity. My first press I also made using a 6 ton bottle jack, it barely got the job done.
