I have played this song on my FLUTE. This mesmerising song is a duet by Mukesh and Lata composed by Greatest MD Shankar-Jaikishen for the Film : AAH of 1953. In this Flute Tune, I have used technic of "ku Ku Ku Ku" of each Note played distinctly for the whistle portion of Raj Kapoor (which is actually Flute, but Raj Kapoor has been shown as whistling). You will like this "Ku Ku Ku Ku" in the begining, interlude, and ending of this song. In original song, the Flute interludes have played a key role in making this song mesmerizing. Besides "Ku Ku KU Ku" of Flute, the Flute interlide just before the last Antara is quite complicated to play on Flute. Raj Kapoor- Nargis chemistry is superbly displayed through this romantic song. What a LOVELY composition by MD Shankar-Jaikishen : Simply Unbelievable. Please rate my performance and place your valuable comment.
Thanks and Regards,
Dr. Kamath

  • Dear Ramesh Rawat Ji,

Thank you so much for your time to visit and appreciate. Actually, while playing Flute you should mix both "Tu Tu" and continous playing so as to embellish the entire tune like I have done in this song. In classical Flute playing, they tend to use more continuous notes with some in between "Tu Tu". But with front type of Flute it is very difficult to get continuos notes unlike in transverse Flute. After you create your tune and upload, please let me know.

    Rgds
