Thanks for the review! I'm nixing Vista as my primary OS as it's suffering heavily from winrot. I've used Ubuntu with moderate ease and success in the past but now I've been looking for something a bit more streamlined and I think I've found it. Gnome3 is a big selling point as I'm not a huge fan of the Unity interface so I'll be giving this an install momentarily. Thanks again for the informative review!

I saw recently Mint has a new fork of Gnome3 called Cinnamon, I know its still in a early testing stage, perhaps if you get time you could review it at some point in the future.

@henrypr You're better off just installing Linux Mint 12 you could add the Mint 12 repos to your sources.list and upgrade that way but I can't promise you that you wouldn't run into any issues.

Awesome video already subscribed, quick question about the video though. How do I move my time over to the middle of the screen its bothering me and looking clustered towards the right.

@aflyingcripple You have to go into gnome-tweak-tool and disable the "Notification" extension...I'm pretty sure that's the one that controls the clock position.
