This dance sequence is the first to use the figure combination: ... couples swing on the sides, end facing ~across //
slide left one place along the sides as couples, circle left 3/4.
The first time it was danced, called by the choreographer, the dance started duple improper. By about the 4th change, the dancers had realized that didn't work quite right, and spontaneously started dancing it as seen here.
