Everyone who has ever known David Peel becomes a good friend of his. He's a really cool guy who sees something good in this world. I used to hang out with him in 1972, and he gave free shows in the streets ALL THE TIME, and invited EVERYBODY to join The Lower East Side, handing out slide whistles, tambourines, bongos, and using garbage cans as percussion instruments. I can proudly say that, thanks to David Peel, I was once in the same band that John and Yoko were in!

i bet u didn't say that on 9/11!. everyone supposedly loved us or felt bad. unfortunatley our LES got invaded by hatefull yuppie scum. who by the way looks down on us locals of LES. our history will NEVER be erased no matter how hard this yuppie pigs and the system behind try to white wash our hood. tompkins square everywhere!!
