Here is a festive, bombastic version of the Easter Hymn that everyone knows. I guess I overdrove my poor little Panasonic stereo mic a few times with this one. The distortion and volume changes are due to that. The tympani part in the pedals at the beginning is way better in person; the recording does not do it justice at all. Some people know this hymn as Christ The Lord Is Risen Today, but it is the same tune.

  • i love your enthusiastic playing and this festive arrangement of this great great hymn! that trumpet stop on the solo is "interesting"...does it sound like that all the time, or is that just how your recording device feeds it back? The Trumpetta Real on my Allen Heritage sounds much different and so I'm curious what that stop is.

  • That is not a actual organ Trumpet stop. The Q325 does have a Festival Trumpet stop on the Choir manual, but I tend to use this one more. The one I'm using here is the Brass Ensemble from the VISTA MIDI unit that is part of this organ. I hope "interesting" is good .

  • Was that a Zimbelstern you used at the end?

  • Yes that is a Zimbelstern for the last stanza. I had our dealer put it on an extra reversible piston under the Great manual along with the normal toe stud that is factory issue. I use the Zimbelstern for any Doxological stanza to signal the congregation to stand.

  • I dont like the Drum things , other than that the playing was perfect! You got any specification on the organ?

  • I like that you have an opinion on the drums . Tympani is more correct though.

I do believe that the title of my posting gives you more than enough information to track down a stoplist. If you can't figure it out, please message me

  • @Nremt6443 God created Jesus Christ Superstar. This probably is played in heaven on 'Rock-Tuesdays'

Beside, Jesus IS the solid ROCK!

  • Nice Job, but your playing an Easter Hymn not a rock song your movements disturb me

  • Thank you for the wonderful hymn.

  • It is just as good!
