My comment did refer to lab and con more so, but it's the lib-dem who claim lineage with the Whigs and as such they have have been power if not for a long time..Based on my views in this video though, if Lib dems were to win I wouldn't complain because i'm still getting to an extent wha t I want.

Sorry but whenever I hear someone say that the three main parties have no difference between them it just shows them to be politically naive. I mean for pity's sake they are founded on utterly different principles...

Labour: socialism.

Conservatives: conservatism and capitalism.

Liberal Democrats: liberalism.

It's so sad that you feel you have to vote one of the three puppets. Why are you so dependent on the government deciding things for you? UKIP supports decentralisation of government and direct democracy. No other party has this as a core policy. The other parties do not care about the individual, merely the continuation of a seamless and monolithic government which tells YOU what to DO.

@JustB3NJI I know that, at the moment, the differences aren't that impressive between the Labour and Conservative party. Nonetheless, there are differences, and that doesn't change the fact that they are founded, and still orientate around, completely different ideologies.

The Lib Dems do not claim any Whig lineage. That's ridiculous. And you wouldn't expect them to claim any such ancestry because they are believers in social and classical liberalism. The Whigs believed in constitutional monarchism which is absolutely antithesis to libertine principles.
