UPDATE: This is my pet black bullhead catfish, Cat Stevens, enjoying a delicious snack! Since so many people have asked, here are a few facts about him:

• I did not buy him. I caught him at a creek near my house when he was about half an inch long.
• He eats nightcrawlers(worms), crickets, minnows and other small fish, blood worm pellets, and fish flakes.
• He quickly out grew the tank he was filmed in(a ten gallon) and now resides in my downstairs bath tub. He is currently about eight inches long.
• If you plan on keeping other fish with a black bullhead, don't become attached to the other fish. Catfish are very hard on their tank mates and if they aren't big enough to eat another fish, they will likely chase and harass it until is dies from stress.

I also have another smaller black bullhead in Cat Stevens old tank now. His name it Pete. I'll upload a video of him one of these days.

  • I now have a new yellow bullhead from today, and what's really strange is that he ate a handful of fish flake on the very first day! Does anyone now what's going on?

  • @youngoutdoorsman2001 My bullheads eat flakes every now in then too. It's good to give them a varied diet. :)

  • need a bigger tank!

  • @sonicxlc123 He ended up living in a spare bathtub set up like an indoor water garden. :)

  • u scared by worm?

  • You ask because I'm using tweezers? Hardly, I dig them up myself. ;) Just easier to hold them with tweezers.

  • cewl im getting cat fish 4 the class tomorrow but not sure what breed.all of us are bringing fish, turtles and decorations.and we have jobs. Darrel has the best he has poop duty :P

  • @batstarwars2 I know you asked this a month ago and you might have already found the answer. But, catfish are not only the easiest fish to take care of, but definitely one of the easiest organisms to take care of. I will tell you why. They're nearly impossible to kill. I mean if you stab them of physically harm them they could die. But they can live up to 48 hours without water. They can live weeks without food. And if you don't feed them, they can live happily off of algae from the tank..

  • i got a what looks like a baby perch but its gray and striped from the creek today i hope he lives

  • Nice catfish..... I have a large marblecatfish for sale
