The station buildings haven't changed much since I worked that line, but the platforms, trains and block signals sure have! Still
had APB semaphores on the NJ&NY then. And
no long train sheds.

well - there shouldn't be drunks at a factory - but I see your point - but also I've never heard of there being problems there either....

Oh OK. Yes, I have ridden the PVL myself. The weekend service started in late Oct. of 2007. Also, if you notice across the tracks at Pearl River, there is a wine factory. I think it is a bad place to be because drunks could get hit by a train. Good video, too!

thats just the point, the engines didn't change at Spring Valley, train 1621 meets 1628 at Nanuet Siding - check the timetable. If this was the same train turn back at SPV it would have taken more than 20 minutes and I would have ridden to Spring Valley or Nanuet in stead... The PVL is a fun ride, but a bit tedious if you ride a local both ways.... This was a nice little crappy day round trip - the last time I rode the entire PVL was the first day of the new weekend service a few years ago.

What's weird is that the engine changed during that time. Usually it is the same when it turns around at Spring Valley.

the restaurant in the depot? the lady invited me inside, but I had to catch my train...... it sucked, I would have loved to look around in there....and added it to the video...
