My first crochet hat.

I got the video on how to make a crochet beanie from Youtuber twj1963. Here is a link to her great How-To video:

I just bought some multi-colored yarn that I liked from Wal-Mart and I used an M sized crochet hook. (I tend to crochet very tight).

I was really happy with the way it turned out!

How do you make the brim?? She doesn't make the brim just the hat? Can you show you made it?

@kej0283 Im pretty sure she does make the brim, I think its the 2nd video and at the very end. I hope that helped! :)

how did you get the brim to stick out so much? mine just kinda fall down flat. Yours looks good.

Thank you...hmmm I am not sure why yours fell down flat. On this hat I only did like 2-3 rows for the brim and it stayed pretty sturdy.

@BurtonlnotruB I've found brims work better with chunkier yarn, and a tighter stitch...my 2 cents.....Thanks!
