This is a gorgeous amp. Reminds me a lot of the Ampeg Gemini's from the 1960's. They were great jazz amps and have that same incredible bloom.

@MonsterGuitarX position, volume, personality... hehe.. lots of variables, but there is a notch function to prevent feedback. It's a very impressive package!

sounded like the guitar was feedingback. Does that depend on your position compared to the amp?

@MikeMzeski Heheh! Thanks, well Sound Pure will definitely be here for you when you are ready. These are some seriously beautiful sounding, and performing boutiue amps built to last a lifetime.

Amp sounds great, very interested. But I wanted to ask: can it do it anything other than clean tones (distortion)? and how does it handle a pedal? I'm a jazz guitar student but I also play rock. In my opinion, getting that perfect clean tone is much more difficult than getting the right distortion (seymour duncan twin tube classic-best distortion i've ever gotten through anything came out of a bassman reissue with that pedal and a 335). So clean is paramount.

@TheNkordalis Thanks! This amp is designed to have the absolute best clean sound for jazz players who want the warmth and dynamics of a hand-wired tube amp. As it has loads of clean headroom, it takes pedals quite well. Once you dial in your ideal clean tone you can easily add dirt to taste by throwing a few stompboxes in front of it. Beautiful sounding amp. My question is and has been why do these various companies charge such above-the-stratosphere prices for good amps. Every1 can't drop $900 - 2500 on boutique amps. Now I do know that in most cases u get what u pay 4, but REALLY... do American companies have 2 charge these type prices 4 their amps. Again, I give Rivera very high marks on this amp, as far as tone is concerned. But it will be a while b4 I can drop that kind of money 4 1 of these.

@Ibantar In complete honesty, you are absolutely right- you get what you pay for. While you can get salvagable tone out of less expensive amp alternatives, when you want to get world-class tone, no corners can be cut by the amp manufacturer on the design, build quality, wiring, etc. There are a lot of amps made in asia by "big American" manufacturers, that simply do not achieve the tone from these gorgeous, boutique, hand-made in the USA amps.
