The SMT games have been better than Final Fantasy for a long time. Atlus has amazing games considering their budget is much lower than that of Square Enix.

Comparing SMT and FF is pointless. While SMT games generally has a more mature story, dark atmosphere and hardcore RPG gameplay, FF is more of a fairytale, with a usually more simple story. I like both of them, however FF nowadays disappoints me very much, where SMT usually able to deliver the same epic experience everytime (something I experienced in the first 6 FF title)

@Gravelneed i only agree because Hironobu Sakaguchi moved to 360 and after Square merging with Enix, the games have been going downhill. Though Square will always make the best CG cutscenes, SquareSoft will always be king of RPGs.
