  • Great News!! "On May 5, 2011, the Detroit International Bridge Company announced it engaged the Ann Arbor firm of Quinn Evans to oversee restoration of the roof and windows of the structure. Bridge Company vice chairman Matthew Moroun stated, 'We hope this is just the beginning of a renaissance for the depot'" - Wikipedia

  • I am one of likely only a hundred or so people that are still alive who worked there during the MCS' last decade of operation. I worked in many offices on almost every floor except at ground level and the 12th and top (13th floor) in the 70s-mid-80s. Wish I had brought a camera to work with me back then, but didn't know how quickly the employees (including me) were to be laid off and building was to be abandoned by the late 80s..oh, well!!

  • @adelinjack

your are ignorant and sad. I'm sorry for that

  • Oh "hop208"! Thanks for the awesome news about restoring the depot! I will remain hopeful. Thanks!

  • @hop208 and as soon as they fix it up, it will get vandalized. by losers. Can't have nothing nice in Detroit. It would be great if they revived the city.

  • @yackary1234 They just might as well as street cars they have such better tech. now theat everything could run way more efficiently. Not to mention if they did start turning up again, that tech. would improve way faster then what they have been doing with cars ( since trains have been on the back burner for many years)

  • @drilledtooth I second that

  • @adelinjack fuck you asshole

  • With the price of gas trains should come back

  • the whole city of Detroid is dead......np take a look at Hiroshima guess its an eye for an eye,but its better to be reborn from your ashes then, starvation, unemployment, and totally deserting the place...
