Morality come from righteousness, righteousness comes from obeying the Law, and the law must have a Creator. If an atheist says "There is no God," then we can detest to believe that there is a moral Law, because you, as the atheist just told me there is no God. By doing so, you erase the Law giver, therefore erasing all trace of morality and law. Unrighteousness comes from disobeying the moral law which you, as the atheist, have no belief in.
@CFImickFly Have you ever heard of them open air preach? That is how they show the light, idk the purpose of this show but open your eyes (and the videos) so you better understand their motives.
@polaroidsky All your questions are irrelevant. We all have different morals because we have different upbringings with different families, schools, friends, etc. This is why we have liberals and conservatives, those that support slavery and those that oppose it, why some people supported the Iraq war and millions protested against it. This is fundamental moral and social behaviour which is elementary to understand if you are able to open your mind enough to escape the religious dogma.
@Futureplanet : Do you know what kind slavery you are talking about? Do you think that economic slavery is bad? What kind of war don't you support? Do you believe that sending murderers to the electric chair is unjust?
@djcomfort20 Luckily I don't get my morals from the bible, otherwise I would believe in Slavery, war, stoning, murder in the name of god, genocide and all other mannor of hideous crimes againt humanity that is covered in the stories of the bible. It is SOOOO clearly written by men, it almost as if Saddam Hussein wrote it. Follow me.....worship me....says the lord. Dedicate a day to me (because I have a big ego and frail mind) or else I will torture you. (Straight out of Saddam's guidebook)
@djcomfort20 The chinese civilisation with flourished for thousands of years before the bible, existed with rules against crimes and had morals, etc. Where did they get them from without the bible? Morals are inate and refined by being learned. We get them from our parents, peers, authorities, government, media, society, teachers, etc. To suggest that you wouldn't know right from wrong without the 10 commandments is an insult to yourself and everyone else. It is silly and simplistic.
@GuillemotWatcher
That's a really good point you bring up. I cannot disagree for I have no reply. We both make since in such a way I hope it helps people.
Thanks,

No, righteousness did not beget morality, it's just the observance of the law.
Morality is actually conformity to the rules of right conduct.
Laws determine if actions are moral & righteous.
So the law makers are the abiters of what is morally correct.
But what is moral in one culture may be morally unacceptable in another.
To state that someone who does not share your moral beliefs has no morals is simply wrong, they just have different morals.

@Futureplanet Immoral? On what basis do you make a claim? Where does your morality standard come from?
