The Salon de Provence Chamber Music
Festival was created 1992

on the initiative of Eric Le Sage and his family,
that are original of the region.

The Festival's public come at concerts
without taking care of musicians,

if they are renowned or not...

this festival is'nt in the star-system,

what counts, here in Salon de Provence,

is to celebrate the music,
all toghether

is to make of this Festival a laboratory

a sort of "bouillon de culture" (broth).

As cooks are many, perhaps we have not
the dish we would like

because there are too much
different influences

and it's difficult to agree

but it's a big enhancement.

In French this is called
"Auberge éspagnol" (Spanish hotel)

The principle is that everybody
come with something

cheese, ham, a bottle of wine or olive oil

bread

the Salon Festival feeds on enthusiasm
of everyone

I play with Eric Le Sage from 14 years

we breath togheter

we have the same reading of the music,

he has internalized some characteristics
of my way of playing

and I've been very inspired from his style.

At the beginning I played very "rubato"

sometimes with too much passion,

while he was more rigorous with
agogic, tempo, rithm

in time roles have been almost inverted.
