I seem to be getting better at identifying the tinies that I come across on a slide. While these look very much like an Arcella at first glance, they even move a bit on their own, they are not Arcella. The green chloroplasts are not part of Arcella, at least as far as I know, and the sample was taken from a Petri dish of moss I had gathered in the woods near here.

The moss has been in water for some time, and allowed to 'almost' dry out, then I would add some more water, to keep it hydrated. Apparently, the moss is fruiting in the dish and producing thousands of these spores. Too many to count.
