Dinner at the Kita-no-Fuji chanko-nabe restaurant, with my first host-family. Nabe in general is a cooked at the table stew, various kinds include meat and veggies, or various kinds of fish, or a Korean version with kim-chee flavored broth. Chanko-nabe is famous for helping sumo wrestlers bulk-up. All kinds of seafood, veggies and other good stuff, basically your SUPER-kitchen-sink nabe! Eaten with freshly ground sesame seeds in the bowl.
