The wisteria in our back yard blooms for a couple of weeks every March. Its sweet scent makes it a magnet for insects of all kinds, especially these huge bumble bees that spend all afternoon buzzing about the flowers. They are quite the sight. We joke that they resemble small birds.

  • What sort've camera did you use? It's got a kind've cinematic look. I like it.

  • @SuiGenerisNo2 Shot on a Canon PowerShot S3 IS. It's a great camera for video clips.

  • Afraid I haven't seen the yellow ones in our area. They're fun to watch, however. We call them the "bumblebirds" because they are so huge.

  • I see you've got the all black bumbles too, have you ever caught the all gold bumble on film? I've seen 1 around my butterfly bush but haven't caught it on film yet.
