  • Brilliant. I have been saying forever that garbage trucks would be amazing hybrids because they are constantly going and stopping.

  • gah, all large vehicles should be this quiet, it would be so much nicer, especially in the morning when your'e trying to sleep

  • I thought hybrids were all rubbish anyways..?

  • I understand how Hybrid cars and trucks are good but I don't like the looks or sound of them...

  • If the hydraulics alone could be run on battery power then there would be massive savings. Bateries won't last long with constant stop and go, utilising the brakes to recharge the batteries won't work as the brakes are applied momentarily, it would take a lot more energy to to start momentum than the energy recouped from the brakes. Nice try, maybe recoup battery power from the hydraulics as it has to run, just a thought, maybe propell the truck using hydraulics while on duty, and to slow down.

  • volvo is only good for this-a rubbish transport, its like-rubbish in the front, rubbish in the back, eveirwhere is rubbish :D

  • @Harfi13 thats why it says volvo on the truck. you where reading on his jacket right ? well it wasnt even renault what was written there

  • omg throw the garbage in the truck and drive away lol.

  • NEVER buy french cars.

  • a hydraulic hybrid would probably be less expensive to build and operate than an electric hybrid in large trucks. UPS is experimenting with both types of drive systems.
