I just love the title: 'The Speed of the Sound of Loneliness'. How poetic is that?! And then the song - jaw-dropping.

When asked by Word Magazine in 2008 if he heard Pink Floyd's influence in newer British bands like Radiohead, Roger Waters replied "I don't really listen to Radiohead. I listened to the albums and they just didn't move me in the way, say, John Prine does. His is just extra-ordinarily eloquent music—and he lives on that plane with Neil Young and Lennon." Sums it up for me.

Does anyone understand how John can write and sing the world's most heartbreaking songs, with such sincerity and presence, without simply crumbling? It must be his kindness, honesty and humor that keeps him intact. The world is so lucky for it.

@canajian Isn't it great in this techno world of the internet so full of negativity and Youtube shit talkers to come to a video like this and see like minded ppl like yourself leave wonderful comments about such an overwhelmingly talented man. So simple and yet you're right....he is a genius. I was lucky enough to see him live a few months ago and the man has still got it.
