advocate - actually ppl would NOT starve w/out oil/fossil fuel. ask urslef what did we do B4 mass production/money etc(capitalism). We were all self sustaining bcoz we were subsistant farmers. we all provided for our families and community locally.
Also one cannot agreee on all matters with someone else.

what i mean by "better balanced" is that Parenti seems to argue with a nice style. He voices the first premise of his argument, presents the opposition's arguement, and then attempts to get the audience to see his side. I like how he doesnt just state things, he backs them up with proper factual info and logic!!
