Unfortunately, Hofmann did not complete records (acoustic or electric) of this piece. I do not like the rolls, they are unrealistic for many reasons, but may be a historical curiosity.

  • not bad sounding for a roll. Out of most of the people that I have heard, Hofmann's rolls sound the most convincing. I think a lot has to do with accuracy of technique... the same goes for Rachmaninoff and Godowsky rolls.
