Born in Germany Violinist Rolf Schulte has performed programs such as the complete violin works of Igor Stravinsky or the cycle of ten Beethoven violin sonatas. He has worked with the leading composers of our time such as Elliott Carter, Mario Davidovsky (whose Synchronisms No. 9 he premiered and recorded for Wergo), Donald Martina & Milton Babbit (whose Joy of More Sextets he premiered and recorded for New World Records).
Pianist Judith Olson, a graduate of Juilliard School, made her New York Debut with Alexander Schneider conducting Walter Piston's Concertino, and has since toured North, Central and South America, Europe and the Middle East and Korea as soloist and in collaboration with leading instrumentalists
Beautiful performance! This brings back memories of when I was playing it. I must say, at the time, I really didn't appreciate the little nuances of this pieces that are so vividly brought out by Mr. Schulte and Ms. Olson. This performance is totally on another level. Bravo!
