The Sugar Plum Fairy from Peter Tchaikovsky's ballet "The Nutcracker". This version for piano arranged and played by Jim Paterson. The sheet music can be downloaded from www.mfiles.co.uk and there is another version of this music played using keyboards simulating orchestral instruments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGxIbweGR8s

  • That's a very nice imperial dalek you have there

  • @britishcommando1 It's cookie jar - you can lift the head off, but it's never had any cookies in it!

  • is this piece hard to play i am a level 4 ..... :D and for christmas i want to learn it.... i am learning right now how to play Trepak form the nutcracker suite so yeah please tell me asap... :D

  • @hellokittyrulz2011 In the UK I think this arrangement would maybe be grade 6 (8 is the highest grade). Everyone is different, and two people at the same level will find different things difficult. There is no harm in trying something to see how easy or difficult you find it. If you can play Trepak then I think you could attempt the Sugar Plum Fairy.

  • Love the dalek, dude! Never saw such an attentive listener.

  • @videoreff It's a cookie jar, but it's never stored any cookies!

  • @MrDrBulla Yes I see what you mean from that luckiest tutorial. It's going to take some work and I have a number of other things to do just now, so I will have to put it on the "back burner" for now. It would be best to do it on the piano version (same sheet music). That way it will show you the right notes, but give you options for using different instrument sounds depending on what kind of keyboard(s) you have. So I will come back to it later!

  • Ohhh can you please make a tutorial!!!????? I can't read music and rely solely on youtube tutorials. You would make an aussie pianist too happy ;)

    Thanks! :D
