This poll has a fundamental flaw. Moral values are constantly shifting. Ask if slavery was immoral in 1800 then ask again in 2012. (I know it's not possible to time travel) You'll get very different results.

It's very immoral that we don't guarantee healthcare, that we pay lipservice to poverty, ignore the homeless. Oh, never mind, when the teabaggers talk "morality" they are concerned about what gay couples are doing.

Whether you believe in God or not, the definition of morality in America has been defined by a nation that developed upon Christian values. So it only makes sense that in a society that is turning away from religion that the religious see this as a bad trend, fearing for peoples souls, while the non-religious have a lingering influence on their perception of "moral" but are more accepting because they are redefining their system of values.

It is against the law in many states for gays to get married. The church doesnt have to marry them but the government shouldnt be able to stop them from getting married.

Just because something isnt natural doesn't mean it is immoral. Maybe your just fucked up. You may not agree with gay marriage but I fail to see why the government should have the authority to stop them, sorry but that makes the government too strong and is just retarded.

(cont.) to hurt yourself but when you start hurting someone else, thats when it is immoral to me. I dont consider drugs, alcuhol, and pre-marital sex immoral like conservatives bc you can choose what you want to yourself and with yourself.

Abortion and stem cell in unborn children is wrong. Yes you are getting it from the mothers body, but its a small body of its own just beginning to grow and you are killing an innocent soul that hasnt had the chance to live. Having an abortion doesn't make you not pregnant, it makes you the mother of a dead child. I have heard that there is something about stem cells from adults though. I dont know any details, but if that is possible then let people volunteer for that. U should be able (cont.)
