I kinda said to myself that I wouldn't start a new Let's Play until I finished another one, but hey. Valkyria Chronicles and Mario Golf are *almost* done... I guess I suck at keeping my own promises.

So, this one's going to be as sporadic as SRTOG1, juat so I can fan out the main LPs more. That's all.

Pokémon Stadium is the standard Pokémon battling, minus all of the adventuring and micromanaging, set to many different types of rules so you can have at those little creatures. There are many modes you can play in, but this LP will focus on the Stadium and Gym Leader Castle modes as well as the final battle that appears when you clear both modes originally.

In this episode, I explain the layout of the game and enter the Stadium. The Stadium mode offers 4 tournaments each with varying rule sets.

The 4 tournaments are:
Poké Cup: The standard Pokémon battling tournament. Pokémon of Levels 50-55 are allowed, only Pokémon not allowed are the Mew brands, split into 4 divisons.
Pika Cup: A Pokémon cup catered to low-leveled battlers. Levels allowed are 15-20, Pokémon allowed are ones that are practically possible to obtain, no matter how lengthy the methods(Example: Lv. 20 Rhydon through finding rare wild Golduck in Yellow Version and in-game trading it for Rhydon is possible and allowed)(unless through obvious cheating).
Petit Cup: A Pokémon cup for unevolved, lightweight battlers. Levels allowed are 25-30.
Prime Cup: A Pokémon cup purely for the best of the best. Levels allowed are 1-100, all Pokémon are allowed, split into 4 divisions.

You're allowed to use any Pokémon within the rules and one of the pleasures of this game is that you can import the Pokémon you've raised from your Red, Blue, or Yellow versions. I can't do this anymore, since I lack a Transfer Pak, so in some instances, I'll have to rely on Rental Pokémon to see me through.

Thing is, the rentas are less than adequate for consistent gameplay, but they'll have to do. I will totally welcome any and all Rental Pokémon suggestions for each cup, division, mode, whatever. I'll welcome it with open arms.

I begin the Poké Ball division of the Poké Cup using a team from a Blue Version cart I had years ago. I go through the first two fights of said division.
