yes it has occurred to me - i like john cage, i like noise, glitch, grime etc but this shit is wack - composing sparse emotional sonic textures is one thing but this is flatly unimpressive; my point was it's EASY to make random ambient sounds with experimental interfaces, it's harder to make coherent music

has it ever occured to you that some people might like it "clumsy"; music (or sound, as I like to put it) is broader than "your" drum loops and chords!

WEAK ... i have my DDR pad hooked straight into a max/msp sampler patch i wrote resulting in basically the same setup... but seriously what is it with experimental interface demos not actually generating music? not to go on a rant but everytime i see some shit that should be cool it's clumsy proof of concept throw on a drum loop and play some chords man!
