8 Week Boston Terrier Puppy First Night Home

is this really the first night home? i would have expected the dog to be more nervous/anxious on the first night yet "jaxon" seems very calm.

@bobbychops1 - Yes, this is really his first night home. The breeder had socialized him very well. Also, we visited him at the breeder's house a couple of times and played with him before bringing him home, so I think that helped. He was always playful from the beginning and never did seem nervous or anxious.

I was wondering when someone would ask. It was just a joke with my husband b/c my dad thinks it's silly for people to call themselves mommy & daddy with their pets. We, on the other hand, think it's quite normal, LOL.

Twilightgirl, you will love you BT. Jaxon is 3 years old now, and we got a new one in January. She was 9 weeks old when we got her. Six weeks is a little young, you might want to wait another week or two just so he is better socialized. Good luck, they are wonderful dogs.

Our BT, Fonzie, is about 8 mos. old. I say 'about' because we don't know when his birthday is. We rescued him from some horrible breeders who had no idea what they were doing. He came to us sick, completely unsocialized & didn't even know what grass was, at 6 mos. old. Now, he's completely social with everyone... A real sweetheart, spoiled rotten, and hops like a bunny when he gets excited! Lol

I had never considered this breed of dog before, but I'm so glad he's part of our family now. H

you might as well say mommy you named him jackson which can be a human name. what happened to the dog names. ppl name their dog anything now days.
